Samantha Berner

Samantha Berner serves as Georgetown University’s Title IX Coordinator and Director of Title IX Compliance within the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Affirmative Action (IDEAA). In this role, Samantha is responsible for helping to create a safe educational and work environment for students and employees, free from discrimination based on sex. Samantha provides information about available on- and off-campus resources, explains the University’s formal complaint process, helps individuals navigate through the University’s systems, and monitors the University’s climate with respect to sexual misconduct (sexual assault, sexual harassment, relationship violence, and stalking).

Before serving in this role, Samantha served as the Title IX Investigator for the University. Prior to her time at Georgetown, Samantha served as the Title IX Investigator for Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, North Carolina.

Samantha received her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Florida.
