Announcing Extension for Georgetown’s First Student Cultural Climate Survey

March 26, 2020

Dear Members of the Georgetown Community:

The COVID-19 virus has touched everyone in our community, while also requiring many of you to leave the place you call home. Although we may not be here together, we want to ensure that we have the strongest campus climate possible when we physically return to campus. You can help us do this by completing our cultural climate survey.

As a reminder, last month we launched the survey and asked you to reflect on your Georgetown experiences so the university may gain a better understanding of students’ sense of belonging and perceptions related to issues of diversity and inclusion.

In order to give appropriate time to adjust to our new virtual learning environment, we have extended the deadline to complete the survey to Friday, April 24. The survey is completely confidential and only should take about 20 minutes to complete.

To those who have already completed the survey, we thank you.

To those of you who have not yet done so, please check your inbox for your personalized link from culturalclimatesurvey@georgetown.edu. When filling out the survey, please answer based on your on-campus living and learning experiences.

Amidst this immense change, we remain a resilient and collaborative community that prioritizes each person’s well-being, safety and academic success, and your participation in this survey will help us go far in achieving that mission.

Sincerely,

Rosemary Kilkenny, JD (L’87)

Vice President, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer
