Lactation Rooms-Facilities for Nursing Mothers
Georgetown University provides several clean, comfortable spaces designated for nursing mothers to pump while they have to be away from their babies due to work or school. Each room accommodates 2-3 women at one time and are available for any GU staff, faculty, or student with a valid GUID. In all locations, nursing mothers will need to provide their own pump. Storage of personal belongings or milk in the room is not permitted.
MAIN CAMPUS LOCATIONS
There are two lactation rooms (aka Mother’s rooms) on Main Campus:
Car Barn Room 206B behind Einstein Bagels. The room is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00am until 9:00pm, and Saturdays from 8:00am until 5:00pm.
Intercultural Center (ICC) Room 229 behind the ICC Auditorium (look for the signs). The room is available Monday through Friday, from 8:00am until 9:00pm, and Saturdays from 8:00am until 5:00pm.
In order to gain access to one of these two rooms, nursing mothers will need to register by presenting a valid GUID, provide contact information and receive a code to enter the room. This code is changed periodically and women who have registered will be asked to re-register to receive the new code. Please register at one of the following locations.
