Getting Started
Before starting the course, here are a few items of information:
You will need a current version of Internet Explorer 6.0 or later Web browser for PC, and Safari for Mac in order to access the streaming audio or video. If you do not have access to audio on your computer you may select the closed captioning option at the bottom of the screen to read the audio text.
Disable any pop-up-blocking software and make sure you have Flash player and Java Runtime plug-ins installed on your browser. Once you complete the course, please provide us with input via the “Pilot Feedback”.
If Blackboard login page is not allowing you access, it may be that your browser is not set to enable cookies.
In the main browser tool bar, click on Tools, drag down to Internet Options Select the Security Tab on the menu bar. Your Security level should be medium or less to allow cookies. The Default IE setting allows cookies. If you have a custom setting, select the Custom button, scroll down to Cookies and make sure the the radio button next to Enable is filled in.
