Shavonne Jordan

Shavonne Jordan serves as Senior Investigator and Counsel in the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Affirmative Action (IDEAA) and is responsible for providing legal advice to IDEAA investigators on complex matters, conducting internal investigations and trainings, and representing Georgetown University in administrative proceedings with the District of Columbia Office of Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the U.S. Department of Labor, and the Office for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education. 

Shavonne is an employment law attorney and has over ten years of experience in higher education, equal opportunity and civil rights. Shavonne is a member of several bar associations, organizations and taskforces, including the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), the Younger Women’s Task Force of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), and the Georgetown University Cultural Climate Survey Task Force. Shavonne has a Juris Doctor degree, a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice, Title IX Investigator Certification (ATIXA), and Title VII Investigator Certification (EEOC).
